So I looked around a little more.

Tiger Direct usually has a Celeron D and mobo for about $60 - 80 after rebates. Celeron speed is usually around 3 GHz right now.

isn't TD notoriously bad for rebates?

I don't mind rebates..... when they're instant....... it's the MIR that I hate

I've gotten 3 different rebates from TigerDirect.. No problems, except it took a whole 2 and a half months for them to come in - the nice thing is I'd totally forgot about them by the time they showed up it was like a nice surprise to get a few "random" checks in the mail for a total of 140 bucks!

... And then I realised it was simply money they'd already tooken from me in the first place
