If you had an extended xbox 360 warranty, and it was coming to an end in a few months, how would you break your console in a way that would go undetected in terms of voiding that warranty?

I'm thinking wrapping it in towels and playing gears for 4 hours until it explodes?

how about be an honest person and just extend the warranty instead of taking the easy/childish way out!

Most likely if you send it back they won't take the time to diagnose the problem and send you a new one anyway, especially if you tell them you have a problem with it and they can't figure out a way to reproduce it.

I don't recommend doing it though, its a little shady especially since it costs more to Microsoft to make than they make back selling it.

I'd do it to Sony though :D

How about you don't pass on the replacement cost of your working console to the end consumer? Kthanks.

It's all fun and games til the towels catch fire and his house burns down killing the OP and his family....

Why would you do this?

Stand in the bathtub with water up near the rim. Then turn on the xbox and drop it into the water. Sure to take care of all your xbox problems...

Kidding, but as stated, if it works don't pass the price on to the other consumers. Just suck it up and be glad that you got a unit that's still working, hopefully it'll keep doing so for years to come.

If you want to circumvent a legal warranty I suggest you take it to another forum.
