Ok im new to the forums so hey but anyways I have never moded a case before and im thinking about getting a case and modding it. It isnt going to be a crazy make my own case type thing but I would like it to be cool looking. These are some ideas I have. Please tell me what you think.
I would start with this case Lian Li pc-65 then Im probably going to get it powdercoated a metalic green. Im getting it powdercoated because I dont have the time/room to paint a case at my house. Then I want to put a blowhole on top and maybe a front intake. I think I might want to put this on those grills though just because I think the carbon fiber would look awesome with metalic green. Those are the only ideas I have right now. I really like the look of carbon fiber with metallic green, the only thing is I think I need some more stuff carbon fiber. Any more ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you have a good start... your only issue is going to be money... and having enough of it. But if you can do that, awesome!

The PC65 is a great case, I'm using it myself. But it already has a 2 x 80 mm front intake and 1 x 80 mm top exhaust. Are you planning on dressing these up, or adding more fans? Cause I think 6+ fans in that tiny box would be excessive unless you have tons of hardware

Yeah I plan on dressing up the top 80mm with one of thise grills then I didnt know it was 2 80mm in the front. Hmmm Not sure what im gonna do now. Maybe I could get the PC-7 plus instead. I would get the PC-75 but this will be going to lans so I dont want somthing huge.

Oh and the name its supposed to be funny im not really amish
 
why not one of those wooden butter churning boxes for a case? when you get made at the system just churn away ;)

Its a pretty good idea, just go with 120mm fans wherever you can cause they are much more quiet :)
 
Ok well I said I wanted to get more carbon fiber on it and this is what I kinda came up with. I was thinking maybe make a cover or somthing over the 5.25" bays out of carbon fiber. Here's my crapy paint drawing

I was looking in the lian li gallery and some guy had his 5.25" bays actually farther inside the case and I think thats what I would do so that way the carbon fiber would look more flush with the rest of the case.

I would do that then put a piece of carbon fiber over that and just have my drives stealthed with the carbon fiber. How does htat sound
