I was thinking about buying The Witcher off of GoG for $9.99 and was wondering if it was a good price and worth buying?

Yes, make sure you get the Enhanced Edition. The game is a masterpiece and one of the best to ever come out for the PC imo. Can't recommend it enough. The Enhanced Edition is a great game (removed drm, fixed tons of bugs and made it better all around. I didn't play it before so I don't have specifics). On the other hand, I think it's been available on sale for $5 before.

The story in TW2 was more akin to the novels. I'd say the folksy setting and artwork in TW1 had a better feel to them, though.
