Don't quote me damnit, but I think the hydravision tool from ATI supports all kindsa cool stuff like zooming and flipping and flopping and blah blah.

X850XTPE vs. 6800ultra.

i will be mainly playing cs:s / cs1.6 which im sure the x850 will own at.. [
but however i am curious which one will run everygame maxsettings. ( bf2 / cod2 / wow / fear / oblivion )... or maxsettings no AA / AF for change.

x1900gt @ 700/1800 vs 7900gt @ 650/1800?

with voltmods/volt adjustments and aftermarket cooling/water of course :D

I need the Best Card for about $250, I was leaning towards the 7900GT, then I was looking around and seen the X1800XT and X1900GT, I am going single card for now, but SLI/Crossfire for future upgrade needs to be taken into consideration. I mainly play WoW, but also play Quake 4, Battlefield 2, Oblivian and plan on geting Battlefield 2142, Prey, FEAR, and maybe the new Need for Speed when it is out.
My Native res is only 1280x1024 so I am mainly interested in Image quality, also in Noise lvls and heat output.

P.S. I agree, this needs a sub forum, not a single thread, reading this thread is like pulling teeth.

So with unlocked pipes?
since only a hand full of X1900GTs are unlockable, i don't count it as a option. just stock pipelines.

7800 GT vs. x1900 All in Wonder?

I'm a bit disappointed in my 7800 GT's performance but I don't want to invest a fortune into a card like an x1900XT. Basically, I'm looking for a card that offers a LOT for the price that'll hold me off until December or so and I think the x1900 AiW is the best I'm going to get - especially since Newegg has a $75 discount on it, bringing the price to around $240 shipped. The extra features and software it includes might be nice, and I'll bet the low clocks on the core and memory could be upped with the appropriate aftermarket cooler :D

If that be the case, im going to have to say the 7900GT. Even though, the X1900GT might take a slight lead in the more shader intensive games.

really? i would pick the X1900GT. i'm not being bias or anything and i have owned a 7800GT and a 7900GT. just nvidia doesn't have good enough video playback quality as ati and i have seen it first hand and to me ati is better at it. but if it was strictly gaming, i say it would be a tie and it depends on what games you play more, and seriously, at those speeds they are partically in X1900XT/7900GTX terroritory and the only thing missing is the additional 256mb of ram.

Will be Conroe E6600, 2gb pc2-8000
I am basing this on 7900GTX results nd some 3dmark x1900 results but from what I have seen Conroe can really take dual gfx to a heighth above others. Wether it is worth $300 though is entirely up to you as its a lot of money.
