I am going nuts here,

I have been trying to figure out what motherboard to pair with the new Intel Q9450, coming out soon™

I have been looking at the Intel chipsets out there X35,X38,X45,X48, I have yet to look at the Nvidia Chipsets as i have had bad experience with the last few models i have had, tho I plan on taking a look at them.

I need recomendations for upcoming boards, I dont care much about price, as i plan on getting a high performance model,

This is what I need the board to do.

I plan on getting DDRII 800MHz 8GB of it, hey its cheap

Be Able to run my current Geforce 8800 GTS 640Mb, dont plan on switching it out until the next generation cards come out in 18-24 months.
Also I need it have RAID, as i plan on slapping a few drives together for extra speed.
Also i need it to overclock (still unknown if its posible) the Intel Q9450 to 3.2GHz.
And I need the system to be as stable as posible for 24/7 operation.

That is atm what I need.
Please recomend boards that i should take a look at, be it upcoming in the next month or current boards.

It all depends really. If you ever plan on going sli you will need either the x48 (i believe it will suport sli) or a nvidia chipset. If you plan on every going ati and crossfire then go intel x38 or x48. But if you are not planning on going either of those routes then don't even bother going x38/x48 or nvidia chipset. Just go p35/p45. So for a p35 board I would go with really any abit, gigabyte, asus or dfi since they all are nice boards.

I have been looking at a lot of boards, and find it hard to figure out what i want,
here are a few questions

If i pick a new intel chipset one of the x35,x38,x45,x48 series, they all seam to come with crossfire in mind, and sins atm i am using a Geforce 8800 GTS 640MB, I have no plans to change it in the near future.
what i am wondering is if the crossfire support on the boards, will it in anyway affect the preformance of the geforce card,

also is the diffrence between the x35,x45 and x38,x48, just the crossfire support, or are there other features.

it is p35 not x35 but yeah the only difference is that x38 supports crossifire and I believe the x38 uses pci-e 2.0 instead of pci-e 1.1. But if you aren't going to run dual video card then just go with a p35, they are great boards and overclock well.
