well i recently (today) installed windows 7 on one of my drives and for some reason windows xp now needs to be repaired. even though its on a different drive, but the thing is its asking me for and administor password but i never set one. And just pressing enter is not working any ideas?

You can use UBCD4Win to reset the administrator password. You need an actual windows CD to build the XP Live CD, and XP/Server 2003 as the OS you build it on.
The Ultimate Boot CD also has an offline password/registry editor, which should work.

so i finally realized how to do what i was doing. but a bit differently installed both on one drive left part of my drive un partioned by windows xp. but now i have another question i have a .bkf file is there any way to use this with windows 7 or just xp?
