This is a follow up to The Frog. Walked out of the house today to go shopping at about 1pm, and my mother saw this massive snail sitting on the fence. I decided that he will make a great subject to photograph. So I caught him and put him in an ice-cream tub so that he wouldn't escape while I was gone. Came home at about 3pm and got him from the tub and put him on the perspex. Sat waiting for about an hour, bugger wouldn't come out. So I though, hey, they are nocturnal, so I placed a smokey dark perspex see through container I had over him as to confuse him. That didn't pay off either. I then read up and found out that they like the rain. So I got the sprinkler running over him for a while, still nothing. So I turned it off at around 6pm. By now I was fed up with his antics and decided to go jam some Skate. on the Xbox. After a while I remembered about him, went out, and he was escaping! About 15cm from where I put him
By now it was almost dark so I had to improvise. I got two desk lamps, one to illuminate from the side, and one from the top front. Here are some of the photos I managed to get:
This one I took during the day when he refused to come out, the Lego man is to indicate the size of this beast:

Here I found another average size snail for a comparison:

Halt villain!

Yo! Gimme a ride!

Oh my $#&% this is too fast! Bail!
