big noobie quetion here... didn't find anyhting in the faq or a the fortron site. I have a fortron FSP350-60PN which has the red switch on the back.

With PFC 230 VAC - None PFC 115/230 VAC according to the fortron site. I currently have it set so i see the 115 on the red switch. Is this the optimal setting, pc doesn't wana boot with the other setting. Just wondering what the purpose of the red switch is?

its for different countries. They use different voltage over in europe. so flicking that switch will make your pc work over there. so just leave it where it is :D

I knew a guy that used the voltage switch as his power off switch. Because his computer would shutoff when he used it.

I think we need to start having "winnar of teh dae" awards. This guy wins. :)

Seriously, I'm surprised nothing burnt up.

The little red switch is the happy switch. The 115 setting = happy. The 230 setting = not happy.

Hey, going from 115 -> 230 sounds like a free overclock to me...go for it!!! Let us know if your computer hits the 10GHz mark.

PS Don't touch that switch, leave it where it is.

One of my extremely computer-challenged friends decided thats how to overclock and switched it to 230. Needless to say I am building him a new system as I write this.

You're still only getting 110V out of the wall plug (In North America), so switching it to 230V wouldn't fry the computer.
