I was thinking about liquid cooled thermo-electric cooling.

The specific product that i'd drop on my 2.6C is the MCW5000-PT which can be looked at here: http://www.swiftnets.com/products/mcw5000-PT.asp

Now they reccomend the Meanwell S320-12 for this product
(http://www.bestbyte.net/Product.cfm?ProductID=1299)
I have a 530W PSU (name and brand in sig)
3.3v@32amps, 5v@40amps, 12v@24amps. The 12rail is 225W and hte 3.3and 5v rails come to 305W.

Do i need this meanwell thing? I'm looking on swiftech's site and i can't really find any sort of connector for this thermoelectric waterblock....

bottom line is that while i'm pretty clueless here, I feel like my PSU is pretty kick ass for nowadays and though this meanwell thing is pretty powerful (12v@25amps compared to my 12v@24amps) and the MCW5000-PT looks like it'll take quite a draw, space and the $85.00+Shipping this second PSU is gonna cost me is at a minimum, you know?

any advice is appreciated

You cant run anything over an 80 watt off your main PSU. You will need an industrial switching PSU like the meanwell or connect two ATX PSU, jump start them and load the 5V rails.

Yeah, ATX PSU's give out a total wattage, over a couple different voltage levels (-12,-5,3.3,5,12) so they can't provide the whole of the wattage needed by a pelt.

You're welcome to try, but I don't recommend it. You'll either fry your system or have shitty voltages, which'll make it next to impossible to overclock.

Dont even try it the results wouldent look nice... The PSU would probley blow from the load or something.

see now this is the reason your titles are 'Limp Gawd' and mine's just cheese.

looks like my peltier's gonna need this meanwell thing.

Do any of you have experience with it? Does it matter where I mount it? i'm out of 5.25bays..i was thinking i'd stand have it like, velcroed(sp?) to the floor of my case and wrap the wires under and then over the mobo.

Since I'm getting this thing...are there any other devices I can can use it for? For the cost, I might as well max it out, you know?
