The black 120mm was a temporary solution to get some air flowing over the northbridge. There is now an intake on the side of the case. I've also added a second hard drive and cleaned up the wiring behind the drive cage. I cheated and made an aluminum plate to conceal the wires between the psu and the 5 1/4 bays.
I know the case is a pre-mod, but I really liked the front bezel. Cut a few holes for wiring and painted the inside black. That's pretty much the extent of my "modding"
Originally came with Windows 3.1/DOS, then upgraded to Windows 95, now I'm running Windows 2000 on it.. lol. Also, the 1MB onboard graphics burned out, so now I have an old 16MB ATI Rage 128 Pro (PCI) in it. Also added a Linksys netcard since I need web access.
2 blue-led 80mm fans
1 dual blue CCFL 12 in
1 dual white CCFL 12 in
I installed the blue CCFLs inside the case and the white ones are behind the faceplate.
The faceplate lighting will require some finessing so that the lights shine through more.
Here are the pics...
This is the case with only the blue light items on...
few pics of my case today. got fans and stuff in the way of my scweet cable management. oh well. its summer and im clockin! pics were taken right before i took out my storm, cleaned it and put it back in with new metal barbs.
Here is my main rig until the Conroe system is complete. I am really liking the new CM Stacker case. I deviated off norm with no watercooling, but I have that set up in another CM 830 waiting for a Conroe.
The front LCD panel shows CPU utilization (dual core). The panel fans are connected to a Sunbeam fan power port. They come in handy when you have a case like the CM Stacker or a Thermaltake with multiple fans on the side panel.
