The Perfect Case

What will you be doing with the optical drives ?

The fan idea for the gpu is a little too big ... take of the cover ...

I like the idea of the opening door in the front, just split it so that the fan isn't exposed ...

Making the front open and then slides back inside to the side, this action pushes a lever that fronts up the optical drives to make the case go from say this look to a ATC / PC65 look.

What if my psu doesn't have a fan at the bottom ?

I have the PCP&C 510 Turbo Cool Deluxe .. no fan at the bottom ..
 
Your design is beutiful i love it, simlpe, clean - perhaps make in a color of off white or like a silver grey - or some type of nice car paint

i love it, how much for one? :D

Then this isn't the perfect case for you :p

Maybe the case could include a PSU. There are plenty of PSU's with a 120 on the bottom. It wouldn't be too difficult to find a replacement if you didn't like the one included.
 
But why would I need to replace my psu ? I mean I can just leave it in and I would have an intake if I take the shield out. How big will the intake be ? 80 ? 120 ? PSU's come in different intakes and sizes .. the case needs to accomodate everyone not just 1 person unless you're thinking of yourself here.

Never include a PSU. Most of us have our own and would rather buy our own. Are you willing to provide low prices for an excellent psu and case ?

dude.....this is for fun. I'm not a case manufacturer. I'm simply trying my C4D skills at case design, and attempting to create a high-end case based on the input given here.

Why does it have to support ALL psu's? I don't think it does at all. If I want it to only support PSU's with a 120mm intake, that's what it will support. I don't think that's that big of a requirement. A LOT of high-end psu's have 120mm intakes.

Maybe the case could come with a side panel that didn't have an intake. Then you could use whatever psu you wanted, but it wouldn't draw cool air in from the outside. There would definately be a benefit in using a psu with a bottom intake (whatever the size) to take advantage of isolating the psu from the case air.
 
It should be championship white with a blue or orange reflective clearcoat.

 
To me the perfect cases is just like that LanLi PC-65 or the coolermaster preatorian... The stacker is also nice... (keep in mind that I just happen to remember coolermaster names... any clone that resembles it is good enough).

They are simplistic yet offer everything that I find lacking in my current PC cases. Im not sure about sound and cooling though.

If I can design my own case, it'd have something like this:

Full silver aluminum tower
4x 120mm low noise fans(2 front, 2 back)
a grill in the front of the two 120mm fans, looks kind of like those PT cruiser grills
2 clear beams in the front of the case like the Centurion 530 and has LEDs in it
removable motherboard
big side window
LEDs along the bottom of the case like those tuner cars with neons on the bottom
wheels on the bottom too

Here's a clicky pic I made in M$ paint, no where near as good as sarbz's, maybe you can make a 3d one with that program of your's ;)

Man that IS a PC-65 you only need to mod the in/outtakes.
I changed the 8cm front fans by niners and the top fan by a 12 cm.

That is My perfect case, i only regret having the clasic 5 1/4 bays screw system, maybe some kind of outolock would be perfect,
 
my prefect case -atm- needs to have something to keep all the dust etc out. with two cats, there is just too much "gunk" that accumulates inside.

I've been playing with it for a few months now. I love it. I never get sick of it. I've been choosing to create things in c4d at night instead of playing BF2 lately :eek:

I agree. Spoiler, flames, and some big logo written gangstah style in blue or silver on the cd drive.

Where is the 3½" drive cage? I assume it would be in the corner under the spoiler. Is the front fan the PSU blowhole or a HDD cooler?

This bad boy uses a ram drive :p, and an external laptop psu. It's lighter that way, and does the 1/4 mile faster.

Actually, I've been pondering a career change lately. I REALLY enjoy 3d work. I'm thinking of freelancing on the side to get started. Maybe to the trade show industry. Those guys are always looking to show their clients what a potential display will look like. I would love doing something like that.
