The pain of waiting! lookin forward to the upgrade.

I'd REALLY like to wait the extra 2 months.. but the 5870 from all the crazy rumors/leaks looks awesome enough to get without hearing from Nvidia..

With my setup ( 2 8800gts) even just the current gen hardware is a nice jump. From my reasoning the 'next gen' stuff will be such a jump it doesn't matter what I get.

That being said, is it true that the hardware wont be out until october? (probably to coincide with windows 7?). So even if you can 'buy it' now no one is getting it for at least 4 or 5 weeks?

Maybe I should ask this tomorrow lol

There are some people that are getting them from local retailers.
However I haven't found anywhere to get em online yet.
I think most of the initial batch will be sold to OEMs (such as Dell), leaving very little for retail outlets.
