Well, is there any place to buy a e6600?

Monarch - In stock, but backorder until 21st
Microcenter - In stock, but backorder (ETA???)
Tigerdirect - In stock, but not shipped for at least 7-10 days
Shopblt - preorder - mid august
Newegg - Not listed
ZZF - Not in stock (ETA???)
Clubit - Not in stock (ETA???)
Memory labs - In stock. (ETA???).
Mwave - preorder (ETA???)
Ewiz - Not listed
Tankguys - Backorder until mid/late august



I think it seems that shopblt is our best bet, unless of course zzf, clubit or some other reliable store get some in soon.
 
not grim at all dude... wait till september, and you'll have all the 6600s you'll ever want, at good prices too... a few weeks isn't hard to wait at alll
 
I am wondering why you all need this processor so urgently. There havn't been any game releases lately that require this processors power. I guess if you are stuck in AGP like me, then it may be worthy
 
Micro Center appears to have them in stock. Why do you have them listed as backordered with no ETA?

Because Microcenter is flat out lying. There is NOTHING on their website to indicate they are out of stock, yet when I placed my order ... then and only then did I get an email telling me the item was backordered. I told the guy on the phone I was very disappointed and that they need to do what most everyone else does - indicate they either do or don't have the item in stock.

All they are doing is trying to lock in some pre-orders. When I informed the guy I was likely going to just cancel, he said "why not wait a day or two - we won't charge you until it ships". Nice business practices there.

And you can have a kickass DFI board to run them on. A great proc is not worth much w/o a great mobo.
