Title says it all,

Post what post your PC's Name, Network workgroup/domain name too if you like


My PC's are:
Warped (main pc)
Titan (server)

My network: Sickness
 
I don't think I ever technically named mine, but it seems that I refer to it as "piece of shit" an awful lot, so maybe I should just officially name it that:p
 
PC: Terra
Laptop: Luna
Network:Astro

I have a feeling we will be seeing quite a bit of astronomy names...
 
Home Rig: Tina
Work Rig: Kasumi

**DOA seemed like a suitable naming scheme**

The rest of our work machines:
PDC: Zeus
Smoothwall: Athena
Mail server: Euryale
Oil DB: Thanatos
POS DB: Kalypso
The rest of the workstations are other names like Pan, Hades, etc.... We went with a Greek Mythology scheme....
 
I've had one name for all my computers throughout history, ever since my Apple Quadra 440

It is: Marvin
 
Main: Jupiter
Server: Saturn
Wife's: Venus
Work Laptop: Mercury
Work Tower: Titan
 
I am pretty sure Greek mythology (and other gods) and outerspace related names are VERY popular... one of the reasons i started this thread :)

Haha, thanks guys. Anyways, I actually started naming my computers because on the Quadra 440, there was that awful speech recognition which really didn't work. You would say

Whaaat tiimmmmme isss it? And the response would be, Thursday or it would tell you joke.

It was really bad speech recognition.

I used to allocate fancy names to them until I sat back one day and reflected on just how impractical, inconsiderate and, let's face it, lame it was for anybody else needing to access the bloody things!

But then, I guess it could be just that I was an old-timer from the bush before I was a geeky computer nerd!

the list goes on, each system gets a new name on every format.
 
I named mine Sleezy, dunno why

maybe cause i shove diff parts in its slots all the time ;)
