The first few things on this list is solid advice but you have to be a little too serious about your privacy to do anything else on this "not-crazy person's" list. When have you ever needed an audio jammer? Decide to go all cash? Bought a bug scanner or dismantled your smartphone?

Should you tape over your webcam? Is it OK to use your computer’s operating system, or do you have to run Tails? And what the hell is Tails? Unless you’re a high-profile target—and you’re probably not—you can take some simple steps to block hackers.

I've spent so much time wondering why the mic doesn't work on my notebook, until I realized that turning off the webcam also turns off the mic.
