I've pretty much only used PCP&C in the past, but $499+ for a 1KW PSU is just way to much, IMO. I'm considering my options and noticed SIlverstone just released this new 1KW PSU (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817256010). Unfortunately, I have no experience with this brand and am looking for any insight some of you may offer on the subject.

I'm pretty set on a 1KW due to it being a little ore future-proof, so to speak.

Any thoughts??

Btw, the rig in my sig. is my current setup, not my current build I'm working on (I'll post the specs when I get back to work....nothing like getting paid to post at [H]! lol).

Thanks for your time!

It's awesome, to say the least. It's a single railed unit as you can see, tons of amps, high quality, and a bit loud. Silverstone makes quality psu's.

www.deadeyedata.com has the olympia for a bit less, + a www.jonnyguru.com discount.

Thx, Bbq. Definatley good info, much appreciated!

I just noticed that there is an OP1000 thread....my apologies to the [H] forum for starting yet another thread.

Loud?! Dude... where do you come from? I have a loaded machine and it's silent.

Heck my TC1KW blew my ears off if that gives you any kind of reference
