We all know about the myth that the human eye can't see more than 60 FPS that had been running rampant around the Internet. But there's a new myth that I've been seeing more and more of: Having more FPS than your monitor's refresh rate is pointless. Perhaps it's not as new as I think, but it seems this is a myth that is becoming even more prevalent.
We know there is a difference between 60 FPS and 100 FPS on an LCD monitor operating at 60Hz, so it's clearly not true. Has anyone else been noticing a this myth popping up or is it just me?
