Hi Im building a SFF for my parents and I want a very stable s754 motherboard with SATA raid, no intergrated graphic prefered as i have a spare MX400 and no O/C options needed. The stability is the main concern as im abroad 10 months every year and i want to built my parents a solid stable pc. Any recommendations welcome. :)
ps: i originally thinking about the Gigabyte K8VT800M board but not sure about the VIA chipset, NV chipset seems better but i couldnt find a good board for s754?
 
Welp, if you want a quality solution, it looks like the only stuff out there will come in an SFF. MicroATX pickings are miserable at best.
 
I've had my Aria running with this Gigabyte board stable for 12 months now. This isn't the latest chipset by todays standards though. There are also no overclock options what so ever in the BIOS ( :( ) but it has been rock solid for me.

MrE, hav u had probs with the on board audio as i've heard some ppl say the audio isnt working properly :confused:
also i've seen a UK reseller claim they'll have some MSI K8NM(NF3 chip) board in stock, any info on that board?
 
Well, I don't use the onboard audio but an add in SB Audigy2 card. I've heard about the same problems but wasn't worried since I knew that would be the first thing I was going to disable. I know that if you had the sound issue that Gigabyte would RMA your board with a fix, but I am going to assume they've since fixed the issue with a board rev. unless Gigabyte likes losing money on returns.

Anything from Shuttle really. Otherwise the mainboards that overclock the best is also the most stable ;)

yep but there isnt any good oc matx board atm ;) anyway I ordered the Gigabyte board as the onboard audio isnt really important 4 me
