No pics yet, but I thought I'd gauge your interest in the build I'm working on.
I've inherited a silver/purple G4 PowerMac and gutted it to use the case as a Home Theater PC. Currently nothing except brutal disassembly has happened, but the gears are turning on what to do with it.
The case was a HUGE HASSLE to disassemble but now that I've got it naked, I see some real potential. I'm worried about a few things, namely the hinged door's lack of ATX mounting holes, and the fact that once I actually get things settled the door might not close.
I'm going to absolve at least the first issue by potentially mounting the motherboard any way but traditionally, to make sure the case closes. Second order of business will be a Liquid Cooling kit to eliminate fan problems with the case design.
This thing will be a glowing nightmare when I'm done, so EL wire, lazer LED mounts, cathode tubing, and any other tacky piece of glowing awesome will be involved.
When I crap-ass camera works again, I'll show you the mad workshop.
Anyone have experience converting a mac that could help give me a few pointers?
