Im looking for a little profit here so i though i would fire up ebay and buy some cheap components and make a internet pc that i could sell locally. Heres what i have in mind.

40 gig Seagate Tested NTFS formatted ready *NO RESERVE* link
GeForce4 MX440 AGP8X 64MB TV-OUT link
**UNLOCKED ATHLON XP PALOMINO CPU & EVERCOOL HSF /NR** link

Couple of questions.

Should i go with 256 or 512 of ram since its just a internet/mp3 box, what do you think.

i have my eyes on some used mobo that should do the trick, dont think it will matter since it isnt a performance pc. But if i can bump up the procesor then i will get more money for it.

also what should i charge for it. im thinking £100-£250 for it, depending on item prices. Thoughts please.

What operating system are you planning on putting on it? That might very well kill your profit right there. That will also help determine how much ram you need. 256 megs should be fine, though for windows xp, 512 might run smoother. If you are putting linux on it then 256 megs should definately be fine.

i was thinking along the lines of xp home/pro or 2000 depending on what amount of memory i can get my hands on.

Lifes a bitch and so is the price of silicon :(
