The division pc 80% off @steam

I have heard they really turned this game around and its much better than it was at launch. I was pretty hyped about The Division when it was announced but never picked it up because of all the issues when it first launched. This price makes it awfully tempting to finally pull the trigger. Then again The Division 2 is supposed to be coming out somewhat soon so I may just wait for that.

buy it if you like these types of games. I got it and the season pass a few months back before they rescued this game for cheap and could see why everyone abandoned it. They have introduced so many new elements; fixed some of the weirdness to it and now its really fun. You just have to get over the weird mechanic that you have to shoot enemies in the face repeatedly to kill them and it only gets more ridiculous (but fun) at higher levels. It is somewhat confusing on what credits work where since they have introduced so many different currencies for different things and there are some game modes that have few players but overall I really enjoy running around faux NY.

Division 2 is coming but who knows when exactly and for under $20 bucks (yes get the gold you will want all the DLC) its reasonable. Who knows they could pull a Destiny 2 and ruin the game (though I heard the latest DLC makes it much better) in the sequel.

I'm all in, value to hard for me to pass up. 7k people playing a couple hours ago helps and end game content show a robust community. He'll I was contemplating $49.99

i've been playing since the first beta and i'm still playing. damn good deal on a damn good game.

what the hell. I bought it lol. I didn't realize I had $4 in my steam wallet when paypal showed I was only paying 6 bucks, I was like can't beat it. lol

Man - I played this back during the beta and thought it was a cool concept but it was riddled with issues and head-scratching game design. Was told that the updates fixes a lot of this stuff. But, after trying the updated demo last night I just can't get over the bullet-sponge gameplay. :(

Well shit...I just full price paid for this 2 weeks ago. I guess im getting a season pass for $8 though!

I been solo'ing this for the past 2 weeks and its pretty fun. Hopefully now I can persuade some friends to join.

You might enjoy the game more if you go into it expecting mmo type gear requirements in the form of a modern shooter. The game was fun until hitting endgame and getting stomped by people with better gear than you regardless of skill.

Even if you had the drop and unloaded an entire mag of headshots you won't be able to down someone who has top tier gear. Expect to grind a lot and get consistently owned.

It's an RPG. RPG's have damage sponge enemies.

I get that, but it's just wonky to me with modern assault weapons and explosives. I felt the same way with higher difficulty and late gameplay in Borderlands as well.

Can PvP be optional? Like, I can I just enjoy this as a "carebear" PvE game with friends? Or, am I always at risk of getting picked off by other players unprovoked?

Its optional. PvP is contained to a area in the map called the "Dark Zone"

I been playing PvE just by myself and you do not encounter other players or less you are in a safe house or the "Dark Zone"

Forgot to mention...you recruit friends or random players (up to 4 total in the group) via the Safe House and then can explore the whole map (PvE and PvP if you go into the Dark Zone).

Thanks for that, I love the idea of it. So basically you are always on your own, or with a max of 3 other players, alone unless in the dark zone. The Dark Zone still has PVE and missions but you are basically always flagged for PVP combat, and you can compete against other teams...?

Believe so.... I am only two weeks into the game LOL and just got to level 10 that qualifies me for Dark Zone. I been only playing solo too (hoping to persuade some friends with this deal)...but yes, I think max group size is 4 to venture out into the world in.

I started 1.5 months ago and was able to get endgame worthy gear by playing "Global Events" which happen every month or so. You don't have to worry about being left out of top tier content or being blown away by veterans, etc. I got the game for free with a laptop I bought, and purchased the DLC pack for $12 when it went on sale. It's also on sale at the official Ubisoft store for like $18 until June 18.

There are armor sets called "classified gear" that are the highest tier of endgame gear you can get, and sometimes the game's RNG will make it quite difficult to get the last missing piece, etc. However there are ways around that. An exotic called he Ninjabike backpack will let you make hybrid sets from incomplete gear sets.. I know it all sounds like a bunch of irrelevant mumbo jumbo, but my point is that it's not so difficult to get into this game and it's not like you have to grind for 6 months in order to be invited to legendary missions, etc. Some players I've met are able to handlle legendary missions even after playing for only 2 weeks.

The community is generous and if you join the discords many times the veteran players who already have everything and just want to play will drop the gear they've earned end of mission for the newer players to pick up. It's pretty positive and social in that regard.

It's true that if you follow the history of the game, it had a bad start, but Massive and Ubisoft didn't just let it sit like that. They kept improving the game. Take a look at the year 3 roadmap and you can see what that they still keep doing updates and have events, etc.

Next Global Event is happening probably the last week of this month so it's a good time to start. If any of you decide to pick up the game and want some help gearing up for that let me know! ;)

A lot if this is level and weapons too... Get better ones and it's much more enjoyable in this respect.

I ended up debating about it too long and missed out on the steam sale. Luckily it is still on sale on Uplay for the same price so I picked it up there. Destiny 2 was a huge letdown for me so I'm hoping this will scratch that itch.
