Hey fellas, the last few day's i've been going over the latest and greatest HS's and cooling solutions out now, however ive only seen the latest and nothing has been crowned champ or is taking a significant lead, from what i've seen.

I need something that will handle my q6700 @ 3.7/1.5v with an ambient temp of 75F. I would like quiet (meaning more so than my current 2x120's 2x80's 1x92 and the 92 on my HS) Honestly I dont care about price or going a bit overboard as I rather have more than what i need than not enough. Money is not an object.

here's what ive found thus far:
AC: Thermal Right Ultra 120 / Enzotech Ultra X = not quiet but...
Pelt: Coolit Freezone
WC: Danger Den's 4200/Power kit / Koolance Exos
(If im missing some tell me about it)

So what takes the cake? I have 3 cases I can use the Zalman *cough* fatality, Lian PC V1000 and an NZXT Lexa.

Well, those are all three different categories so you can't really compare.

In the air department the Ultra 120 would be the leader, it's "loudness" would depend on which fan you add to it.

However, of the choices...I'd pick water, it'll require more time, money, and research..but I think it's the best choice.

Wow, that's one powerful chip! It's pushing out around 208 watts of power (same as mine actually :)) so you'll need to go with ANY double radiator water cooling kit to get a good temperature/noise level.

A BIP 240, Dtek Fuzion, MCP655 (or the new DB-1 pumps if you wanna save some $$, but this is a CPU only pump, there's no adding in any GPU blocks later :)) and some masterkleer tubing, with 2 low speed yate loon fans should do it...

And, as a bonus, it'll load around 30dba too, which is lots quieter than most effective aircoolers. My quad radiator setup takes care of my Q6600 + 8800GTS at around 32dba (4 yates at around 9v)

WOW, haha..man I like this guy :D Ok I was wondering if I had to go with a double rad setup (was hoping I didnt have to) Ok Arc say I drop that OC down a bit to 3.4ish and less voltage, you think that Danger Den kit i mentioned would do its job just fine?

See I plan on learning about this water cooling thing "some" but Im not [H]ard when it comes to WC and honeslty dont have the desire to learn all the tricks as of right now. I want a kit i can throw on now and learn about whilst its on there.

If your gonna go dual radiator.. why not just go ahead and hook up a couple car heater cores instead?

They generally are able to dissipate a lot more heat than the radiator setups you can get for computer cooling... and can be had for about $15 a piece at the wrecking yard.

Or.. if money really isn't an objet.. hook two of those Coolit Freezone coolers up. The single setup is supposed to be real nice.. I can only imagine having two of those suckers hooked up. Way better than just water cooling itself. A bigger reseviour might help in your case. It would help keep the water temps more steady.

A bigger Resevoir techincally wont help lower temps in a loop. A bigger Rad would help. Not a bigger resevoir.

Think of this as a Car and how it works. =/ kkthnx

I NEVER said that a bigger resevior would help lower temps. I said it would help keep the temps more stable. It will make the water not heat up as fast since there is more water.
