alright, i got my wcing stuff, and my pump, the ehiem 1250 refuses to fit in my case. id also have huge issues fitting a dual heatercore in that case, so im thinking that ill just make a cube to put all that stuff in.

thats my main idea

the grey box in the last picture is a crappy 350w psu that ill use for the fans and the cathodes.

im gonna use a ghetto resiviour made of a tupperware container with some barbs. the dimensions are 15x15x15. do you think this will be big enough for a whole setup. any feedback is greatly appreciated.

thansk for the help. do you see any flaws in that design? ill post some more pictures up soon. do you think 15x15x15 is big enough to fit everything?

Looks nice just make sure you have a stronge pump coz of the longer tubing.

Everything should fit well into a case with those dimensions, you may want to look at the pumps head is and see if it is adequate. It all depends on how long the tubes from the W/C Box to your Case are going to be. I wish a company made prebuilt external boxes that you could put you rad/pump/res into. That'd pwn.

the head on the ehiem 1250. ive heard its one of the better pumps out there. i think it should be up for the job.

granted i dont know that much about water cooling, but i think you'd want to put the rad right before the cpu block for optomal effectiveness.

I originally thought so too, it seems that way logically to a layman, but you soon find out that the amount of water getting pumped through the blocks is more imporant than "the cooling". The reason being after the computer is turned on for "x" amount of time the water will heat up to the equilibrium temperture between how fast the rad can cool, and how much the componants shoot out heat.

So then the idea is to make as much water pass over the block as possible making it so there is less of an increase in temperture per pass. Basically in short, the Rad is very restrictive.

I'm sorry, I'm not very good at explaining things, maybe someone else can say it better.
