THANKS FOR THE HELP ON THE PICS DK-13 :D

Well 1 you could sleeve all those cables with UV sleeving since you have UV lights.

You could also go with a nice Pastikote Pearlized paint job and use bondo to create some new contours to the case. Maybe something on the top.

Or you could go for a BF2 themed paint job, but I think the UV would not work with that.

you know i just upgraded to 2gigs of ram from 1gig and you wouldnt belive the performance increases. Great work so far.

thanks for the ideas, i am proubly gonna paint this weekend but i haven't decided if i am gonna go with a airbrush job or if i'm gonna go with a chameleon paint job. wal-mart has a spray paint chameleon kit in the auto department that i have been thinking about getting. It is a three coat three can kit w/ every coat being some kind of special paint that gives you that purple to red or blue chrome chameleon look.As for airbrushing i have had problems in the past doing it so i am kinda unsure what i'm gonna do. As for the ram i run smooth on a gig and a half but 2 gigs sound better. what about three or...... ..mmmmmmm..... drool...4 gigs opps i got to go the thought gave me a erection.

YESSSSSSS :p i just ordered 2 80 gig sata drives from newegg. Do yall think that i should keep my 36 gig raptor 10k rpm as the boot/game drive (it's ide 133) or should i use the 2 sata 72k rpm drives in a raid configeration as my boot/game drive??????????

72k rpm at 150 transfer rate or 10k rpm at 133 transfer rate that's the question

also how fast of transfer rates will i trufuly get out of the sata drive if they are raided?

if i used the sata raid drives i could completly disable ide channei 2 in the bios, would that make a change in my system resorces for the better? would i even be able to notice a change in the performance w/ the channel disabled?

disableing IDEs doesnt do jack well at least for me. i am more then happy with a gig of ram. but if i could find another gig of my kingston hyper-X again for 80 bucks id stick it in. too bad my ATI silencer blocks 1 of the slots.

The best way to figure out is to try both combinations and see which runs faster! Personaly i would say run the boot on the raptor (for HDD failure reasons when running in raid) and install games on the 80gig. Dont use camelon paint on the outside it wont look nearly as cool as you think, I did this to my dads machine and the only time you notice the color change is in high light situation otherwise it looks purple or black (its the blue/red color), HOWEVER i would say paint the inside like that as it could look very sweet and differnt!

just my 2cents

Thanks on the tip Morphes, that sounds pimp. I haven't thought of that but i think that i am gonna try it. It sounds it would look great w/ 2 bright white caths, but i think that i would have to install some switches so i could still use my uv while having the white off. Maybe this is a good excuse to get some cool switches from svc.
Oh by the way, has anyone ever heard of someone using truck bed liner for the outside of there rig. My friend said he knew someone who did it and it looked cool and he said that it had a cool rough texture to it. Sounds cool and i think good ole' wall-mart sells a kit to do it yourself. I think it would look cool with a chameleon inside. Anyone ever heard of this being done?

By the way i think i am gonna just try it both ways and see what does better even if it means running the raid as the boot/game drive for a coulple of weeks, and then refomating if the raptor is faster.
