The *best* thermal paste.

Coollaboratory Liquid Pro, and after that, by not very much, Shin-Etsu x23.

According to an article I read from ITCenter Ukraine, at least..

I myself use AS5, mostly because I haven't run out of it since buying two back in 2005.

Arctic Silver has a long history of doing it right. Why take a chance?

We have a comprehensive article on the way. AS is good, but it better than a slice of american cheese?

Maybe mercury with its 20 year curing time... gotta be better than cheese or ky jelly, cmon guys. Now AS's 200 hr curing time sounds pretty good i guess.

Still got probably half my original AS3 from back in like 2004. I got AS5 too when it hit. Probably got 5/6 of that sucker.

Still have a couple tubes of AS5, and I think I might even have a partial tube of AS3 kickin' around somewhere since my first build back in 2002. Never tried anything else, never had the urge to.

+1 for AS5; I've been using them on all my HSF with great results; but I also heard the Ceramique from a lot of people also performs equally as good; they may be wrong, but you probably won't know until you try.

And I saw in my local Radioshack that Ceramique was two bucks cheaper than AS5 <.<

I have used many different thermal pastes before (even a diamond paste I formulated several years ago that gave comparable results to AS3), and this Coollaboratory Liquid Pro is by far THE BEST on the market.

Yes, there is a lot of prep involved to get the max out of it (like lapping the HSF, IHS), but if you want absolutely THE BEST then you will do it. I've got pictures somewhere...

+1 for AS5. Arctic Silver has never steered me wrong through my various builds over the years.
