The actual display sizes?

Everywhere i look for different monitor height and width it's always the monitor itself. Not the display. Is there a place where i can see about the display itself without edges and the stand.

For example V2400W. Both homepage and CNET show with the stand (i think)? Atleast they do that with my current SyncMaster 931bf (i measured it).

I dont' think I've ever seen an LCD panel whose measurement wasnt' the actual panel. A 24" LCD will have a 24" panel measured corner to corner.

Actually some companies do round up. For example, the NEC LCD2690WUXi and the Planar PX2611w both use the same 25.5" H-IPS panel, but they are generally advertised as 26" LCD monitors.

For 16x10 monitors multiply the diagonal (22",24" etc..) by 0.848 to get the width and by 0.530 to get the height.

For 16x9 monitors multiply the diagonal by 0.871 to get the width and by 0.490 to get the height

Okay Mocs123. If those numbers are true than thanks.

So my current 19" and the upcoming 24" V2400W prety much have the same height (althought 19" one has actually 1024 pixels and V2400 has 1200).

This is true but it's always listed in the specs correctly.
