hey ya, following "problem"

With 3dMark03 i get a score of 10099... is that it? I am also not 100% satisfied with the way some games work on higbhest settings... I dont like to overclock yet.. is there any other way to improve performance?

ps.: using the newest omega drivers...

Well my system in sig gets about 6200 so i'd say your score is pretty good :)

another question, are omega drivers really better for gaming than the normal ATI drivers?

Over 10K is damn good for a 12 pipe card.
And personally i would use the official catalyst drivers since they seem to be more stable and are WHQL'ed.

with the oc i have in my sig i get 12065 with my x800pro...

that's with the cat 4.7's. so if you start to oc that x800pro you could increase your score a good amount. and i don't think there's really a noticable difference between the cat's and omega's with performance. i just use the cats.

It's important to remember that unless you have a huge jump in numbers the scores are pretty misleading. For example, my Athlon 64 3000 and 9800 scores around 5800. I was pretty disappointed too, but when i saw the individual scores for a system that scores 9000, I was happy again.

Happy because on average, the 9000 system only ran a few fps faster in most tests. I'm talking 5-7 fps on average.

Check it out for yourself by using that system compare feature.

Memory also plays a big part. I've got two cheep 512 sticks that actually slow me down when used together. If i take one out leaving with me with 512, i score a couple hundred higher. (I've got an AK-89 max mobo whose bios hasn't quite matured yet--two sticks only run at 333 mhz, where one runs at 400)

hope that helps

Yeh thats about right for an x800pro @ stock. If you want a higher score like 11k-13k you'd want to go for a 16 pipe card like a 6800GT/x800xtpe/6800U

Looks about right to me... The x800pro is only a 12 pipe card.

If you've got a VIVO pro, you can flash the BIOS to enable the extra 4 pipes - along with some overclocking this should increase your performance considerably (12-13K).

i Have the Power color one... it has a llil vivo sticker on it.. WHat does that mean?? can i et 16 pipes?? if so how... i'd love to...

link to this info please? I was under the impression any pipeline mod on the x800s needed a soldering iron...
