When I migrated over to SATA drives I always thought that the removable storage icon was normal to show when no USB/flash drives were connected because SATA drives were designed with hot swap in mind, but I was reading an article on the [H] and they seemed baffled when they received a pre-built PC and the icon was there when no external devices were attached.
So.. whats the norm? Should it be there or not when no USB/flash drives are connected and the system is using SATA drives? I know I can disable the icon completely but I like having it there when I pop in an SD card.
Oh and yes my chipset drivers have been installed and up to date (nForce4/AMD based mobo).
