..I am having it.

The game appears to be having an issue connecting to my EA account. After launching the game it stops on the loading screen which only says "please wait..". I let it sit for an hour and it's made no foreseeable progress. I cannot return to the menu.

Has anyone been able to get past that screen after attempting to log in to an EA account recently?

I have the same thing, eventually a timeout message will appear.

Their eta is fucking 6PM PST supposedly and as usual EA's website to activate the game and in game items is fucking broken as usual..... I should know better by now.

<sigh> i am sorry i paid full price for this. I want to support the devs, but this kind of shit makes be want to punch babies. I bet people who DIDN'T buy the game aren't having these issues.

I know two people that have had the game for days and have no issue at all. Pretty sad for people that buy them. =/

They had server issues and some such. A lot of people's issues were all rooted in that and they should be fixed by now for the most part. My issue was suddenly fixed out of nowhere without any fanfare or preamble.

:)

Sigh, a friend of mine beat it a few days ago

Doesn't matter.

You're the guy I respect.

The people I don't respect are the pirates, and we've had tons of them posting at this forum, telling us that they've spent over 30 hours playing the game - yeah, some of them probably got legitimate copies of the game in advance, but there's no way that all of them did... there have been far, far too many people posting early.

Your problem will get sorted out fairly quickly I hope... but yeah, I think I can speak for most of the people here when I say that you're the guy we have respect for.

MY GOD shut up wabe. Must you make a post about respecting some guy who bought a game. Another worthless post.

Let me guess, DRM?

No, it is to activate special items which can be done at any time. The issue was with the EA servers. It only contains a disk check.

To the other dense people, it is NOT required to log on to your EA account to play the game. I was experiencing trouble logging on as well so I decided simply to activate my extra content later, problem solved. The game is completely unaffected and there is no online DRM activation. Bitching about a technical difficultly like a server hiccup that can unfortunately occur to anyone and any company that uses the internet is very childish especially when the game remains completely unaffected.

Denouncing the developer for such a minor, unimportant glitch that doesnt even affect the game makes me glad that I don't know any of you children personally.

I can't play the game for more than 3-5 mins without it crashing. :(

The times it doesn't crash my system just blue screens instead. o_o

Well, they did manage to fix the online activation for downloaded content. Problem is, the game still will not work. Go to create a new character (lost my ME1 saves somehow), and the game just hard locks the computer. Hopefully they will be patching this issue soon.

im guessing you didnt play BF2142? took 2 1/2 weeks for them to fix the server issues on release day.. no clue what they were thinking that 1 master server could handle over 500k users logging in at the same time.. even then it still took another month after that for them to iron out the load balance issues between the master servers..

I've had no issues, but I started playing yesterday around 5pm PST (dunno when everything unlocked). I have to say, ME2 has started in SPECTACULAR fashion...I've only played about 2 hrs so far, but WOW.

Having said that, I'm already depressed knowing that it will probably be a while until ME3 is out. I want to savor ME2 as much as I can...

Most if not all the problems were solved by then.

Me, too. I'm going to deliberately not marathon and blaze the hell out of this thing. :)

Why do people put up with this crap and pay for it?

Why arent these companies being taken to court for selling incompletly, non working products?

Because they resolved it rather quickly and quite frankly, the courts are loaded up to the nines with frivolity and a bunch of kids whining on the Internet about a relatively small aspect of a videogame not working right for half a day isn't going to cut it.

That's technology for you and especially things like servers. Sometimes things just can't be all perfect right away.

Past this: These companies have plenty of money to pay plenty of lawyers anyways.

Back to reality now.

Not enough grounds for any legal action by a mile.

short way of putting it...

because the court system is already full of cases filed by people like MrGuvernment that want to sue companies for every little thing..

I had the same issues last night, but I got it working by going to bioware's site, logging in with ym ea account, and redeeming my Collectors edition code. This game me a link to get an armour upgrade, which I downloaded and installed. Then when I logged in again through the game, it worked! Then I downloaded and installed the launch day dlc..

Game is amazing, but I only put in about an hour so far..

This.

I still haven't logged into the cerebrus network in game yet. I did it all before I started the game and haven't had a bit of trouble playing. I have about 7 hours under my belt so far and have only managed to recruit 2 team members.

Make sure you register the game on both the EA side and the Bioware side.
