I'm pretty noobish when it comes to computers. And I'm teaching here in Korea which made it even harder to get things. These forums and the advice that I got here really helped me figure out what to buy!!

I finally got my new display and computer here in Korea.

My "new" monitor is a CRT I purchased off someone who has had it for 7 months:

HP-P1230 Diamondtron Aperture Grille 22" CRT

(manufatctured 2005, received as new replacement from HP in early 2006 - 2 years of afterservice and warranty remaining! Its basically brand new!)

I teach English as a second language in Korea (I'm Canadian).

Glad system is too your liking given the difficulties I had in getting parts etc...

E6700 seemed like a nice price point to me. Granted E6400 is probably the point where you stop seeing any benefits in current games. But what the hell, drop a few hundred and do a bit of future proofing...
