So my 6800 GT OC dies on me, no lights..nothing. I RMA'ed it to BFG and they took it back no questions asked. The card they sent me was defective(this pissed me off a little), so I called and RMA'ed it again and this time they overnighted me a brand new card. I got the card before the post office even had time to deliver mine bad one to BFG. Anyways the new card works fine and WAY TO GO BFG, I will always buy my cards from them. /happy rant

Glad it turned out good for you.

I dunno though, for every thread like this one there is a thread with the exact opposite ("I'm never buying BFG again!"). Almost seems like luck of the draw.

that's great to hear. although, even with my 2 RMA'd 6600GT's, i never recieved a dead one or anything and i hear alot of people saying that they do, so hey.

even most of the "positive" comments about BFG involve multiple defective cards. how many defective cards can one company produce. its good they took care of you but BFG is quickly going to the bottom of my list of vendors i trust.

I don't think that BFG is producing more (or less) defective cards then other manufacturers, but I'm willing to bet that....

A) - there is a big communication problem between their call center/corperate offices and their shipping warehouse

and

B) - I don't think they are making the 6800 series cards anymore.

Newegg is only selling the older style of cards and tiger direct has 6800gt cards on a limited basis. They are probably running out of working replacement cards and the warehouse is shipping whatevery they have that is barely workable in order to fill those RMA orders. I'm willing to bet that's what happened to me and other people who have complained both with good and bad outcomes with their BFG RMAs. This will save BFG some cash (their only other option is to replace your defective card with a newer working card) but it's causing a lot of people to consider other companies for their purchases.

I'm glad it worked out for you dude, for the most part I believe that BFG tries to take care of their customers but it's hard to have to hear people go through multiple RMAs due to stuff like this. :(

What sucks it that people are shying away from BFG due to some of the complaint threads, but if everyone that owned a BFG card that worked fine made a thread to talk about it, they'd think a whole lot differently.

Since BFG is the top supplier of Nvidia cards it only makes sense that they are going to have the most people with defects, since the defect rate is just a simple percentage of all sold.

It's good to see a thread like this............a while ago I was going to make a thread title "OMG My BFG card WORKS WTF????" just to counter-balance all the bitching threads.

^^^Nice, it did piss me off a little that they sent me a defective one but thats life. The acknowledge there error and overnighted me a new card. Cant ask for much better than that.

you could ask for a non-defective card in the first place. that would be better. lol.
