TFT Display Problem

Hi everyone,

I am currently running my system on a Sony FW900 CRT. in gaming there are some tearing (Team Fortress2/L4D) but the games all run very smooth.

yesterday I was testing the 24 TFT iiyama b2409hds. I have notices some lags and tearing. after I have turned on Vsync, tearing was gone but it feels like the game has some major lag.. I dont know the word.. its the first tft I have used.

running @ 60HZ DVI

also in Team Fortess 2. i notices on some yellow and red color shifting on edges.

system spec.
Win7 Ultimate
GPU: BFG 285OCX
CPU: i7 920

Sounds like input lag. Essentially when a monitor displays an image from the video card there is an intermediary step where the signal is processed. On CRTs this step is near-instantaneous on LCDs not quite as fast.

1. It's called input lag. All LCD monitors have at varying degrees.

2. All LCD monitors show some degree of color shifting. Inexpensive monitors like the one you have uses LCD panels with TN technology which has the most color shifting of all panel techs as the viewing angle increases.

are there any TFTs in 22-24" that you guys can suggest me.. I really think the iiyama is not playable for me..

is there one that you will not notice the lag at all?
