Well i just suffered a bad bios update (power shut off while i was flashing) i take it the board was is Dead due to it wont even post anymore. So its time to start looking at new MB. I have limited cash to spend due to my 2 week ago urgrade video card, PSU and memory.

Does the biostar tforce 6100 matx board fit in a regular atx case? i have the neo plat 4 in there and it sis have a problem with the 1800xtx being to close to the HD(i have the coolermaster centurion case). reason im looking at the biostar is price, on board vga in case the vid card goes bad and the oc features. My MSI Plat neo 4 couldnt get past 232 FSB. I have a thermaltake Big Typhoon Heatsink as well so i hope it fits.

thanks for any info.

clear cmos ... see if that helps

if not clear cmos > load original bios

yes it will fit in an atx case. you may have to move the mobo standoffs around to fit the mounting holes of the tforce. make sure that they line up and dont leave any extra standoffs on the mobo plate. tforce nice board, will get you a higher htt no prob. have had one since october.

thanks for the info! one more ? .

can i hook up 2 hards drives and to optical drives? i only see 2 connections to the board are they both IDE? cause it says it has a floppy connection but i dont see it?

It has two SATA ports, and two IDE ports. You could do two Opticals through one IDE and do two HDs through another though. (two IDE ports avail on mobo)

the floppy connector is on the bottom of the board, below the last pci slot. all the stuff is there, they would not lie to you.

You could probably easily hot-flash that CMOS chip on any Nforce4 motherboard. I've hot-flashed 2 motherboards back to life so far.
