TF2: Server is not responding

Every single god damned server I try to connect to gives me this error. I can't see the players or anything.

It's happened before but usually I just keep hitting join server until it lets me in, but now every single server is doing it and I can't connect to any server I've tried (tried 20 servers all not working).

I've seen forum posts on other forums of people having this problem but no one's posted a fix, and Valve tech support has been useless as ever.

Anyone have a solution?
 
i used to get that too but what i would do is just hit join game or whatever and just wait a couple of minutes and it should eventually join you to the server.
 
Make sure you don't have a third party firewall blocking any outgoing ports or any other program like that running. I'd close every program down except for steam and try it
