I'm wondering how to get a "Frost-Like" texture on the inside of my case... I am wondering if it will be easier to paint the texture (if so how?) or have it powdercoated (can it be done)

looking to do it to the inside and possibly motherboard tray of the NZXT Panzerbox

Have you tried the Rust-Oleum Textured spray paint? I used it on my Sniper and it matched the factory finish very well.
 
are we talking frost as in flat or simi gloss, or frosted as is speckled or even snowflake shapes?
 
Im looking for more of a bumpy texture. (like frost in the old freezers) possibly like the rugged matte black texture on the x-750 power supply or other "rugged" textures.

my case is currently painted with the hammered, I'd take pics, but as can be seen on that page, the black textured dosen't photograph very well, so just look at the silver and pretend its black...lol, with this stuff I recommend painting on a similar surface first because it is possible to over do it, and it will have different texture patterns depending on which way you hold the can, pattern at which the can is moved (say a slight arc, vs a straight line) and how far away the can is. Honestly, waste a full can trying to get it right, before you use it on the surface you intend to paint.
 
the textured planinum looks the closest. I'll have to try a can to see if I can get the finish I'm looking for.
 
ok, I tried the textured paint, (charcoal) then painted white over it... it just wasn't "bumpy" enough... it wasn't very noticable. any other ideas?

You might be able to get the look you want by doing the worst paint job possible, using spray paint, spray way too much paint and hold the can way too close, and dry it with the painted side facing the ground. Would probably work best with some of that textured paint.
