text to speech apps NEED HELP QUICK

i need some text to speech software that works nicly and is free i downloaded microsofts stuff and thats for E books:mad: ...i have documents that i have to memorize by friday morning the 26th:eek: ......and there over 60 pages long was given YESTERDAY.....but the bad thing about it is my job depends on it (fired for good or promoted).......me knowing this stuff inside and out......... so i figure if i can sleep and listen to them as well as record (that whole ghetto hold the mic to the speaker:D ) make a cd and play it while at work sleeping driving its going to help a bit...the documents are on work processer....HELP PLZ i beg of you:(
 
Is there an Apple Store where you live, or do you have a friend with a Mac? OS X ships with fairly decent text-to-speech built in. Put the text on a USB memory thing, and borrow a Mac somewhere. Open the text document in any old text editor, and right click -> start speaking.
 
I was looking around, and it seems that the free ones only give you the common microsoft voice, which I saw described as "a constipated robot".:D The more realistic voices are for sale only as far as I can tell.
