Text size/pixel pitch?

Is there any comparison showing how standard size text would look on different LCD sizes? I'm primarily interested in 20", 24" and 27" and possibly 30". I'm contemplating throwing out my mom's Dell 2405FPW because she complains about it all the time and upgrading it to something better (I use a 2707).
