text size on high resolution (16x12)

hi, I have a little problem. I picked up viewsonic vp201 monitor and in the native resolution 16x12 its hard to read the text on some of the internet pages. I also set text size on largest, but while some pages are displayed with bigger text size, some are still very small (text size doesn't change). Why is that?
I changed all possible settings in xp (120dpi and clear type) and in windows its fine, but it didn't change anything displaying pages on the net.
Is there any other correction that I can do?
BTW, I have no problem with my sight.
Please post some of your settings to display bigger text on the internet.

i'm running a 19" lcd (px191) at 1280x1024

and i use teh zoom function in web browsers
ctrl +scrol up in opera to zoom in on the page
ctrl+scrol down in mozilla to increase font size only
not that i can't see the text but why stress my eyes lookig at it.

however, why I can change text size on some of the pages on the net using Internet Explorer 6 and on some other ones I can't. Why is that?

Depending upon how it is specified in the webpage, IE will interpret a text size as an absolute size, and won't let you change it. One of the many annoyances with IE that made me change to Firefox.

BTW, you can also do Ctrl + and Ctrl - to text zoom in Firefox; hands don't have to leave the keyboard.
