my buddy has a 26" Sharp LC-26GA5U LCD TV and is not really happy with the way text is displayed. native resolution for the lcd is 1366x768 and the manual says it can only go as high as 1280x1024 in "pc mode." he says it's a little better when he switches to 1024x780, but the text still appears as though it has lines through it. any suggestions? is it a matter of "tuning" it out with the OSD or is there something we are overlooking? thanx for all/any help.

I am not really sure but I think it is because its an lcd TV, and not an lcd meant for computer use.

thanx fellas, will let him know about the ClearType. if i don't post back then that means it worked and everything's rockin. thanx again.
