I have the 50mm/f1.4 myself and love it (even though i run it at 2.8 most of the time.... but still if you aint got the 1.4 then the 1.8 should be in your bag.

the ork pic need help badly, but the pug looks great

Every photographer...no matter what they shoot, should have a 50mm and a 200mm lens ;)

I agree and, looking at a treat isnt the word for it. More like being tortured, not getting the treat.

I have a question since i was going to go get one of these lens.

is a 50mm 1.4 alot better ( ie: worth the extra cash ) then a 1.8 ?

no, unless you REALLY need that extra stop or that shorter DOF....

basically, if you have to ask, get the 50 1.8

Okay sounds good lol that makes sense if i have to ask it's not worth the extra money haha..

Okay

I love my 50 f/1.8, best $70 I spent next to my hand strap. I love the 85 f/1.8 also, man primes are cool unless you have to zoom in or out.....

thats what zooms are for :p

primes are great cus they are cheap, and great quality while being that cheap.

and you spent $70 on a hand strap?!....I spent $20 on one before the camera (and the strap along with it) got stolen...(over a year ago....)

No my handstrap cost only $17. I meant the 50mm was the next best thing I bought for my camera for low $$$, that was until the "L" fever...
