Testing a WCing setup ? How ?

I understand that I have to at least the setup flow for 24 hours for leak tests and so on.

So I don't put anything inside my case but just the whole WCing setup.

How do I start my pump with my power supply, without having the motherboard inside ? My pump is Laing DDC, and it only plugs on 12V from a PSU. So any ideas ?

Most people just short the psu to "trick" it into powering on. Something like a paper clip in pins 4 & 6 on the 20pin ATX power connector will do the job.

I would actually leave the motherboard inside. This way you can test it with the waterblock dry mounted to the socket. Just dont plug any power cords into anything but the pump. If something leaks, just let it dry and you will be fine. You cant damage anything if there is no electricity running through it.

I, too, put all the components in the case. I just don't hook anything to the PSU except the pump. If it leaks, all you have to do is make sure the components are dry before you put power to them. That way you don't have to worry about introducing leaks by manipulating your tubing and all that.
