All,

I'm looking at buying a used video card to tied me over until the next series comes out.
Basically looking for something like a used 460/465/470 GTX cheap, and wanted to buy local.

Anyways I'm thinking used but want to make sure it works before I purchase it.

Are there any programs out there like ATItweak that can be loaded simply and stress test a video card before purchase?





Issue a friend of mine just bought a used 5770 and it creates artifacts... guy is nowhere to be found.
I was going to puchase a 470 but the guy would only meet at a McDonalds... wouldn't even come by my house for extra money. I'm thinking the card was toast...
(I'm thinking bitcoin is killing alot of cards and people are trying to sell them off on craigslist)

This is also a shout out to local houston people willing to sell decent cards for a low price.
 
I like Unigine Heaven its a benchmark tool but it pegs your GPU usage all the way. If it can run that for like 15-20minutes with crashing or artifacts chances are the card is solid.
 
Yeah all the unstable cards I've had, Furmark has helped prove their faultiness, I'd recommend it.

I checked it out looks pretty intensive. Crazy 60's graphics might be tought to spot artifcats... but in anycase I'll go with it and atitool.

Haha, the furry texture's been used for years, ATITool had a 'fuzzy cube' it was famous for. Trust me, you'll see plenty of artifacts if you're running into memory issues.
