• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

Terrible page load times.

I decided to put this question here in networking, since it seems to be related.

My page web browsing is TERRIBLE. A page will take roughly 30 seconds to fully load, the odd thing is this just started about a week ago. Normally I would blame it on my ISP, but my speeds via direct IP downloading, or direct IP connections are fine. Such as gaming latency.

Also, when I do a speed test I get my normal:
Download Speed: 18066 kbps (2258.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 1529 kbps (191.1 KB/sec transfer rate)

Alas, my web browsing just isn't up to par by any means. I'm thinking it's a DNS issue.

Have you tried switching to OpenDNS? Their nameservers are 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220.

Either tell your router to use them or just tell your PC to use them.

Well hell, I'm glad you suggested that because now I see that even my router page takes FOREVER to load.

That's what I'm saying, I went to add the DNS and I see that my router page takes forever to load.

Well I tried upgrading the firmware on my router, didn't help. It will randomly have spurts of working correctly. I'll be able to load 3-4 pages normally, then bam it's back to the slow 30+ second loads.

edit:
I took the router out of the picture and it's still just as bad.

I'll agree it sounds like a browser problem. Have you scanned for viruses / malware recently?

I'm using firefox on W7.

I tried using IE and Chrome, same thing happens. I've scanned using avg, and malwarebytes.

If this started happening about a week ago, what else happened at that time? Windows Updates? Driver Changes?

Have you tried to system restore to a point prior to this issue? Have you tried a different system such as a laptop on your network to see if it shows a similar problem?

No windows updates at all, I'll try the rollback. I tested the load times on my mac, and they are normal.

So I've tried EVERYTHING I can think of sub formatting. Nothing seems to be working.

Try turning off your firewall and antivirus. Also try a tracert to your router or a web page and see if there's any weird hops before you get there.

1. Get up
2. Barrow any other computer on network for 20 seconds
3. Open browser
4. Profit

It sounds like you're box is fuxored
