I know a couple of you have this same box and was wondering if anyone else had problems with the BIOS detecting SATA drives?

I have no trouble getting my regular ATA IDE drives to work.

Just so you know this is my first SATA drive I've owned so I don't know if there's something I need to know about connecting it.

I have used the legacy power connector and it did not work, also I have used the adapter that connects from the legacy power plug on the PSU to plug into the SATA power port on the HDD. I tested the drive in another computer with the SAME SATA Cable and it worked fine.

Onboard SATA is enabled in the BIOS and Set to IDE Mode

Set the SATA drive to run in 150 mode. That may fix it as my epia does not support 300 drives either.

I can give it a whirl in the morning, I dont have any SATA drives in my box at the moment, but I have a few kicking around that I can try it with, but I believe the above post has some good info, as I believe the SATA controller is 150mb/s only. I know I have had issues with Seagate SATA300 drives on 150 controllers in the past, thats why they all have a speed limiting jumper on them. Check your drive, and see if you have a jumper that you can use to limit the speed to 150
