What does this mean?

The Remote Desktop license server cannot update the license attributes for user "Administrator" in the Active Directory Domain "xxxxxx.local". Ensure that the computer account for the license server is a member of Terminal Server License Servers group in Active Directory domain "xxxxxx.local".
If the license server is installed on a domain controller, the Network Service account also needs to be a member of the Terminal Server License Servers group.
If the license server is installed on a domain controller, after you have added the appropriate accounts to the Terminal Server License Servers group, you must restart the Remote Desktop Licensing service to track or report the usage of RDS Per User CALs.
Win32 error code: 0x80070005

I'm confused :(

in AD is the computer account for the license server a member of the TS License Servers Group?

Do you have a Windows Remote Desktop Services Licensing server? Do you have CALs to allow more users to connect?

I'm guessing no. If not, the proper thing to do is remove the Remote Desktop Services roll from the server you're trying to connect to. Most likely the roll was installed mistakenly and the 120 day grace period has lapsed.

If you do indeed have an RDS licensing server and you do indeed want RDS/Terminal Services, your settings need to be fixed on the server in question. It's probably not pointing at the license server.

In either case the Server Management Console will tell you what is wrong and it should be very easy/self explanatory to fix.
