Terminal Font(s)

I am looking for a good readable font that I can use in terminal / irssi. The problem I am running into is that fonts that are good in the terminal are not very readable in irssi (due to the amount of text of term vs irssi). Of course maybe it is just me .

What font(s) does everyone use for their terminals / irc?

All my xterms use 'lucidatypewriter'. I used to use sgi-screen-whatever, but I like the scaling from lucidatypewriter TrueType better. Bitstream Vera Sans Mono is also another nice one.

I use gnome-terminal, and never had a problem with regular terminal-ness vs irssi. Just use courier new or something

Seeing as how I've kept the same terminal configuration for the last 3 years, I still use the font smoothansi. Works great for me when IRCing.
