Just wondering what temps your cards run at (aircooled)?

9800XT 256 411MHz = 68 idle
nVidia 5900XT = 65 idle

x800pro stock fan speeds = 50c
used ati tool to bump up fan speed to 60% instead of 30% (still can't hear it), 42c idle.

6800 GT is 57c with excellent airflow, oem cooler (wish it was mine, had to return it to my friend :()

dear god man. sounds like you need some improved air flow in ye case.

Thats in my intel system, it is definitly alot hotter then my amd's

6800 GT, after a particularly nasty session of RTHDRIBL:

(Idles somewhere in the mid 60's. I've tried everything to clean up that airflow in there (it's an Antec SX1030 with the PSU replaced with a Truepower 430.)

WOW! That is pretty damn high. Same program maxes me out at 84c and that is a fairly warm city :)

Idle on my 6800gt is 57c

One thing that really sucks about my Antec True Power 430 is that the fan speeds run very low to make the case quiter. Doesn't really matter for me since my 6 case fans are already really loud. :D

6800gt

low-60ish idle to low-70ish max. All at stock speeds. Although this is with ambient temps around the high 30's to low 40's.

(all C)

my 6800 GT idles around 64 and loads at around 89 and thats OC'ed @ 400/1100
i dont understand why mine is so hot..i have 7 or 8 case fans..cant remember...my room stays nice but not cold...my motherboard idles at 33C=91F so i guess my room is a good 80F or so but i dont know

I have racked my brain to stop all instability and I think I am through.
My computer is loud now!. Like a damn vacuum cleaner. I think I am getting used to it

Well my temps are:

P4 3.2 no ocing idle: 36c: after a good run of Painkiller it is at 55c

I found that going over 55c in Painkiller causes instability.
I put a Thermaltake fan and copper cooler on my CPU. The fan is set on a constant
6000+ RPM

For my 6800 Ultra I bought a PCI fan and set it a slot over next to the card. I think this was one of the best things I did for the ultra.

I still was getting some instability and overheating from the 6800 in Painkiller so I got
2 Thermaltake 80mm fans running at 4000 RPMs at the front of the case as intake.

Boy that dropped my temp on the ultra down significantly so now I can run it at 430 core and stay under 70c.

Its loud but I can play some games now. I just use headphones :D

6800 gt OC, stock cooler, not oced past stock

52 C idle

81 load with rthdribl

with a vantec pci fan on full and very cold room, (27C case temps)

6800 GT with a Zalman ZM80D-HP GPU cooler

Idle: 53 C

Load: 66 C

using the rthdribl demo.

lol at the noobs burning up their stuff..

idle = 33 C at 540/540.....x800 pro with silencer

lol at the noob thinking that a 6800 running at 90 C is buring up , when the core is designed to handel 120 C.

6800 gt idle 51C full load getting up around 68C
oh fella its not meant to handle 120C , It might go that far without causing quick fast damage but if you ever see it that high you'll want to start praying and unplug you computer right fast

5900 XT: 40-41 idle

I haven't really tested the load but about 5 minutes after a doom 3 session it's about 45. Should I consider OCing it? :)

edit: stock cooling, no VGA silencer :D

You have proof where you "heard" or "saw" it's meant to handle 120'C? Because my friend had to RMA his because the fan failed and his hit 110'C and fried. (eVGA 6800GT).
