Okay i just got a Amd 4000+ with a Thermaltake TR2-R1 Cpu fan also i used some OCZ ultra Thermal gel, its running at 37 idle with this set up and my Video card(x800GTO) is idling at 46

Now are these acceptable temps?

ps i also have 2 120mm fans in an Ultra X-Blaster case (1 intake 1 exhaust)

answer: yes {with a but}

BUT: idle temps dont realy matter. load them up and take temp readings.

Okay after Oblivion for about half hour it reached about 78-80 degrees celcius for my video card and my cpu was at about 50-52 celcius

is there anything to do to cool down my videocard

Get an aftermarket cooler for it.... Zalman vf900 or Arctic Cooler works well

try loading it with orthos blend or prime95. i bet the temps will be even higher still. and yea you have to get an aftermarket heatsink/fan or water cooling if you want better temps, adding case fans only goes so far.

ill try cleaning the fan and the heatsink, with 90% alchohol, i will be upgrading the car soon so no need to buy an after market cooler, thanks for your help
