Temps when in bios...

Are the temps you have when you're in your bios usually different from when you're up and running? It tells me my CPU is at 48-50C, yet in speedfan right now says I'm 44C. I'm running my CPU at stock right now to see the temps. They haven't seemed to change from when I was OCed at 2.3...Any help would be appreciated.

The BIOS does not have sort of features that a program running in windows might have. For example are you running Cool and Quiet or anything that would lower clock speed or voltage? If you are then it is likely you will see different temps in windows.

When I'm in the bios my watt usuage is higher than when in windows and monitoring the temps. I'm guessing from the numbers I ran (watts/cpu usage) that the cpu usage idles around 30-50%. Maybe your mb is doing the same and causing the cpu to run hotter when in the bios. Yeah, I know it's strange that it burns more watts in the bios and makes no sense to me either.

Hmm. Well, I'm pretty sure I don't have Cool N' Quiet installed. How could I find out which drivers I have?

ummm....I don't think cool n quiet has anything to do with this if you have it disabled in bios.

this is just normal for every mobo, to my knowledge...
